Department of Statistical Modelling
The Department of Statistical Modelling advances statistical and computational methods for empirical data analysis across diverse fields.
Our work is closely connected with interdisciplinary research projects and collaboration. Our research spans mathematical statistics, statistical modeling, and data science,
focusing on developing innovative models, improving estimation algorithms, and implementing new methods in software packages and solving difficult scientific research problems.
We rigorously evaluate our approaches using statistical theory, real-world and simulated examples, and address misinterpretations in statistical reasoning.
We fuse diverse information sources via frequentist and Bayesian paradigms in a formalized way.
To ensure scientific relevance, our work is driven by applications and conducted in partnership with renowned researchers from various disciplines.
We contribute to interdisciplinary research in social sciences and psychometrics, biomedical sciences, environmental and energy research, and beyond.
