The Open day of the ICS will take place on November 5, 2025 traditionally as a part of the Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
ICS co-organizes Horizons: Conference in Honour of Petr Vopěnka, where invited talks of renowned foreign and local specialists in the areas of set theory, philosophy of mathematics, and history of mathematics will be delivered.
On Monday, 6 October 2025, an award ceremony was held to honour the winners of the annual ICS competition for the best publications of the previous year. As usual, the winners were selected by an independent expert committee, this time in categories: theoretical output, applied output, and output by young authors.
As part of this year's celebrations of the Institute's 50th anniversary, its members met at Novotného lávka on June 18, joined by colleagues from the local and international scientific community.
The Institute of Computer Science coordinates the excellent project Brain Dynamics, financed within the call for Excellence in Research of the Programme Johannes Amos Comenius until mid-2028. The Institute is implementing another 8 P JAC projects in the calls for Excellence in Research, Intersectoral Cooperation, MSCA Fellowships CZ, Social Sciences and Humanities.
