The Institute of Computer Science organizes Czech Gathering of Logicians and Beauty of Logic

The Czech Gathering of Logicians is an annual event that brings together researchers in all areas of logic, primarily - though not exclusively - based in Czech Republic. This year holds special significance, as the Gathering is being held jointly with Beauty of Logic, a special conference series organized to honor the legacy of Professor Petr Hájek.

This year's joint edition marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of Professor Hájek, a former director of the Institute of Computer Science and its longtime researcher. While the conference will cover a broad spectrum of logical research, it serves as a dedicated tribute to his formative influence on the field and the Institute itself. The program will feature research that directly builds upon his significant scientific contributions, with a particular focus on topics such as set theory, arithmetic, mathematical fuzzy logic, and logic in data analysis.

The event is organized by the Institute of Computer Science of the CAS and co-organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the CAS. It will take place from February 4 to February 6, 2026 at the Academic Conference Center.
