TARK 2027: THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF RATIONALITY & KNOWLEDGE
PRAGUE, 27–30 JULY 2027

Submissions are invited to TARK 2027. The conference will be held from July 27 until July 30, 2027 in Prague, Czechia.
TARK 2027 is planned as an in person conference.

SCOPE AND MISSION

The mission of the TARK conferences is to bring together researchers from a wide variety of fields, including Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Game Theory, Decision Theory, Philosophy, Logic, Linguistics, and Cognitive Science, in order to further our understanding of interdisciplinary issues involving reasoning about rationality and knowledge. Previous conferences have been held bi-annually around the world. The information of all previous TARK conferences can be accessed at http://www.tark.org/.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

These include, but are not limited to,

  • semantic models for knowledge, belief, awareness and uncertainty;
  • bounded rationality and resource-bounded reasoning;
  • commonsense epistemic reasoning;
  • epistemic logic;
  • epistemic game theory;
  • knowledge and action, applications of reasoning about knowledge and other mental states;
  • belief revision;
  • computational social choice;
  • algorithmic game theory; and
  • foundations of multi-agent systems.

CONTENT

Strong preference will be given to papers whose topic is of interest to an interdisciplinary audience, and papers should be accessible to such an audience. Papers will be held to the usual high standards of research publications. In particular, they should:

  1. contain enough information to enable the program committee to identify the main contribution of the work;
  2. explain the significance of the work — its novelty and its practical or theoretical implications; and
  3. include comparisons with and references to relevant literature.

STYLE AND CONSTRAINTS

Extended abstracts should be no longer than 10 pages (excluding references). Optional technical details such as proofs may be included in an appendix.

Submissions authored or co-authored by members of the program committee are allowed.

The maximum number of paper-submissions per author is two (the limit applies to all authorship-roles, including being a co-author).

One author of each accepted paper will be expected to present the paper at the conference. Note that the 10 page limit is to ensure that the reviewers can read and express an opinion on the submission within a short time. Please ensure that the main text for the reviewers stays within this limit.

FORMAT

To format your paper, please use the EPTCS LaTeX style from
https://style.eptcs.org/
TARK reviewing is not double-anonymised, so author names can be included in the submission.

PROCEEDINGS

The proceedings of TARK 2027 will be published at EPTCS (Electronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science).

The proceedings of previous TARK conferences can be accessed at http://www.tark.org/.

The proceedings of TARK 2027 will be open access and available online.

(While economics papers follow the same submission guidelines for review purposes, authors can specify that only a short abstract should be included for the Proceedings with a link to a full working paper available online.)

THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) TOOLS

The use of AI tools for conducting research must be disclosed in an additional paragraph (not counting towards the page-limit), at the stage when papers are first submitted. Mention all uses of AI tools that were directly relevant in the process to realize or report on the research content in the submitted work, this includes its use to (help) design theories, arguments, algorithms, experiments, data-analysis, proofs, proof-verifications, code, data, text. In addition, authors should explain to what extent they have themselves validated any such AI-generated content.

All named authors on a submission will be held responsible and accountable for the content of their submission. Note that AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

PC members and sub-reviewers must preserve confidentiality of all submitted material; in particular, it should not be passed to external AI tools.
