Postdoctoral Fellow / Postdoctoral Researcher in Model Theory and Combinatorics - Ref. No. 2025/27

We seek a postdoctoral researcher to join the Czech Science Foundation project Model theory, structural combinatorics, and algorithms, led by Samuel Braunfeld at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

Conditions:

  • 9 months of funding.
  • The cut-off for applications is November 26, 2025.
  • Starting date is January 1, 2026.

Applicants should:

  • Hold a PhD in mathematics or expected to obtain one by the starting date.
  • Have a strong background in Fraisse theory, concerning the combinatorics of amalgamation classes, the model theory of Fraisse limits, and the algebra of the limits’ automorphism groups.
  • Be fluent in English.
