Ph.D. Student Position in Model Theory and Combinatorics - Ref. No. 2025/28

We seek two Ph.D. students to join the Czech Science Foundation project Model theory, structural combinatorics, and algorithms, led by Samuel Braunfeld at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

Conditions:

  • Two years of funding at 0.5 FTE, with the possibility of extension to a third year.
  • The cut-off for applications is November 26, 2025.
  • Starting date is January 1, 2026.

Applicants should:

  • Hold a master’s degree in mathematics, logic, or computer science.
  • Have a background in logic and/or structural graph theory.
  • Be fluent in English.
